The relationship between Raincoast and Bloomsbury is very unclear early on. The first books printed in Canada appear as Bloomsbury in every respect except the spine of the hardcover jackets.
Despite this being a Bloomsbury ISBN, they started a new number line, but began it (accidentally? Reason unknown) with 2. Conclusion is based on many collectors and sellers trying to find a complete number line for many years—as far as I know, this hasn't been confirmed by an authority.
The prints have no dates, but the inclusion of the Hogwarts Shield on the title page and the quote on the front places it after around the 8th UK HC print.
Later softcover prints with the Bloomsbury ISBN indicate Raincoast as a distributor somewhere between the 2nd and 5th prints.
Eventually, Raincoast started using their own ISBNs and more clearly indicating themselves as the *publisher* proper; they appear to have continued the print numbers into those editions. I.e. the first print of their own hard cover edition appears to be 7. It's not year clear where that transition takes place with the softcovers.
Raincoast shut down its publishing division in 2008 and ceased being the Canadian publisher of Harry Potter books in 2010. They continue to be the Canadian Distributor of Harry Potter books for Bloomsbury in Canada
